Faculty-led & custom programs

Faculty-led and custom programs have been at the heart of GEI since 2007. We understand how much work their design requires and how important it is for you to be able to rely on specialist local knowledge and networks. We provide the expert support, dedication and passion you need to create your custom program in 25 countries across East Africa, Southern Africa and Southeast Asia.

Faculty development programs

We regularly host development opportunities for faculty and staff of our institutional affiliate partners. These programs take place at our GEI Study Center destinations in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Vietnam; some opportunities also consist of virtual webinars or workshops. Themes typically relate to our specialty areas, i.e., sustainable development and key interdisciplinary tracks.

Site visits & assessments

GEI affiliates are welcome to conduct site visits and assessments at our GEI Study Center destinations in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Vietnam, either during the low season or to visit a specific program of ours. We invite you to experience the academic and cultural opportunities available and ask you to simply cover logistics and personal expenses.

Our Partner Relations Team
GEI’s Partner Relations Team serves as the primary liaison to our institutional partners. You can meet us at key international education conferences like NAFSA or Forum on Study Abroad, and we also gladly connect with you via videoconference call.

We will strive to keep you updated about our programs and destinations as well as special opportunities for your students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We also invite you to sign up to our regular newsletter and to follow us on social media.
