PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Gain global experience - virtually in Vietnam
The Global Virtual Internship offers a fully remote, credit-bearing internship experience that connects you with Vietnamese organizations in sectors like sustainability, health, education, social innovation, technology, and business. Over a minimum of four weeks, eligible participants earn 4 U.S. academic credits through project-based work and online professional mentorship. The program is ideal for students and recent graduates seeking global engagement without international travel.

ACADEMICS

Program Structure
The Global Virtual Internship is a supervised remote placement spanning a minimum of four weeks. It allows students and early-career professionals to develop and apply their knowledge in a real-world international work environment - all from the comfort of home.

Participants are placed with a vetted local organization based on their level of study, skills, and career interests, with a customized internship plan developed in advance.

Interns benefit from a pre-placement orientation, weekly interactive learning sessions, and a formal supervisory meeting. Additional program elements include mentoring, peer collaboration, and professional development training, helping interns gain remote work experience while building global connections.

PROGRAM LOCATION: VIETNAM

The Asian Dragon is undergoing some of the fastest socio-economic changes any country in the world has seen. It is a major development success story with remarkable rates of economic growth since the start of massive political and economic reforms in 1986. But the lure of modern living has a deep impact on the traditional networks of family and community that continue to play a pivotal role in society.

Included in your program fees
 are the internship placement, pre-internship advising, development of a personal internship plan and goals, project- or research-based internship work, virtual interdisciplinary training and cultural activities/immersion, facilitated group reflections sessions, and a final presentation/report/essay to synthesize the learning experience.
